Official live football apps in Mexico, Colombia and Argentina

You can watch live football on your phone without a pirate app, but the route changes from country to country. In Mexico, Colombia and Argentina, free-to-air TV broadcasters have official apps with the live signal, and sports platforms charge for the championships. This guide shows, country by country, what is free, what is paid and the catch of each app.

Apps, ratings and plans checked in the app stores of each country and on official websites in November 2026. Broadcast rights change by season and by championship.

In a few words

  • Mexico, free with ads: the apps of TV Azteca and the Claro Sports.
  • Mexico, mixed and paid: the ViX has a free part; the FOX One is by subscription.
  • Colombia: ditu and Canal RCN bring the free-to-air signal for free; the Win Play charges for live games.
  • Argentina: TyC Sports Play and Flow depend on pay TV; free-to-air TV has a live signal on the channels' websites.
  • In all three countries: the ESPN is in the Premium plan of the Disney+.

Free, paid and free-to-air TV: what changes

There are three legal ways to watch a match on your phone: the app of the free-to-air TV broadcaster, which repeats the television signal, usually for free and with ads; platforms with a free part and a paid part; and subscription services, which concentrate a large share of the championships. A game may be in one place this season and in another next season, because rights are sold by championship and by period.

Excluded is everything that promises paid channels for free: IPTV lists, APK files from websites and apps named after channels that do not belong to the broadcaster. Besides being illegal, they open the door to viruses and card fraud.

Mexico

ViX: the free part and the Premium plan

The ViX, published on the store by the Univision, has two tiers. The free one, according to the official description, requires no card or registration and includes more than 100 live channels, with live sports and international football. Premium is paid and removes ads depending on the plan. The store lists the service's football competitions as a whole, without saying which games are in the free part and which in Premium.

Ponto de atenção: antes de contar com uma partida, veja na agenda do app se ela aparece como conteúdo pago. A loja avisa que o conteúdo varia por região.

Free-to-air TV via browser

In Argentine stores we found no official app for Telefe nor for TV Pública, whose address currently leads to the Canal 7 site. The official site is straightforward: all the basic channels of the ESPN are only in the Premium plan, and live and sports events have advertising on any plan. How to install safely

Install only from the official store. An APK downloaded from a website may carry viruses or a tampered version, and none of the apps above need that. To update, just open the store; be wary of ads saying your player is outdated.

On Android

  1. Open Google Play and search for the app's name.
  2. Check the developer just below the title and compare with the table above.
  3. Tap Install and wait for it to finish.
  4. Notifications are optional; accept only if you want alerts for match start times.

On iPhone

  1. Open the App Store, tap Search and type the app's name.
  2. Check the seller; on Apple it may show the company's legal name.
  3. Tap Get and confirm.
  4. If a subscription offer appears on entry, read the price and renewal terms before accepting.

Precautions before subscribing

  • Check the schedule first. Look for the match in the app before paying: no service has every championship.
  • Beware of VPNs. Apps unlock content by country. Using a VPN to pretend you are elsewhere can violate the service terms and lead to account blocking.
  • Note the renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically. If you're trying it out, note the date and cancel before the charge if you don't want to continue.
  • Save your data plan. A full match uses a lot of internet. Prefer Wi-Fi and lower the resolution on 4G.

Frequently asked questions

Can you watch live football for free and legally?

Partly. When a match airs on free-to-air TV, the broadcaster's app or site is usually the route, and there are free apps, such as those of the TV Azteca in Mexico. Many championships, however, are on paid platforms, and this changes every season.

Can I use an app from another country?

Generally not: rights are sold by country, and the TyC Sports Play states that the channel's live signal only works within Argentina. Getting around this with a VPN may violate the terms of use.

What about the TUDN?

It is in the Mexican store, but the description says access to matches with pay-TV login is only valid in the United States and Puerto Rico. That is why it was left out.
